Making Radio Waves

I was on the radio a lot this week after I posted the video medley I made of the bands that are playing at KROQ’s 2014 Weenie Roast concert. KROQ is the rockingest station in Los Angeles, so it was very cool to have them take an interest in my chord-banging and warbling.

First there was an internationally syndicated Loveline episode on Thursday night. I’m on at 1hr16m, right before the Black Keys song. No big deal:

Then I talked out loud on The After Disaster Podcast. This is probably the most in-depth appearance where dirty truths about the video are revealed. (I’m on right off the bat):

Then I woke up bright and early on Friday morning to talk to KROQ’s Kevin and Bean, the biggest morning show in the world (I didn’t research that, but it’s pretty big). I’m on at 1hr12m, you know, right after Chris Martin from Coldplay. No big deal:

Covering the Whole 2014 KROQ Weenie Roast Lineup in Under 5 Minutes

I crammed together covers of all 14 of the bands that are playing the KROQ Weenie Roast on May 31st at the Verizon Amphitheater in L.A. It was harder than I thought for a little while and then all of a sudden, way easier. I may have messed up some melodies or lyrics or everything. I hope this doesn’t get you too excited, because I heard the concert is already sold out.

In case anyone asks, or cares, here’s the cheat sheet I made to get myself through.

In reverse order, those chords belong to Avicii, Beck, Foster the People, Fall Out Boy, The Neighbourhood, Bastille, Fitz & the Tantrums, Capital Cities, Phantogram, The 1975, American Authors, Kongos, Bleachers, and Cherub. I probably shold have done my hair.
