Rhune Loves Siri

I don’t go on the air very often at Loveline, but when I do, it’s usually because there’s a high chance of me being embarrassed, like in this video clip where I was put on the spot to flirt with my favorite pornstar, the lovely Siri.

Why do I love her so? Here’s why:

Coppin’ a Feel – (Super Boobed Outtakes Edition)

For the past 4 years, during Breast Cancer Awareness month, I’ve always been sure to post my original Coppin’ a Feel music video in hopes of raising awareness (not really, I just like attention. Boobs and attention). This year, I thought I’d mix it up with a different version that no one has ever seen. I apologize in advance.

I was a much less mature person when I made the original music video. I put all the extra, inappropriate squeezing, spanking, rubbing, bouncing and touching outtakes into a separate timeline in case I needed them to fill a few beats. Then it turned into this. There’s no storyline. There’s no continuity. There’s no smart editing. Just boobs. Boobs on the move. It’s actually kind of sexy for something so disorganized.

So it existed, but it just sat on a hard drive for four years, which was smart, but now there’s #ThrowbackThursdays, so…

Hey, also, why don’t you donate to a cancer research charity or something? It doesn’t even have to be for boob cancer. I’ve learned since then that research saves a lot more lives than awareness. I hope you still like the song.

Covering the Whole 2014 KROQ Weenie Roast Lineup in Under 5 Minutes

I crammed together covers of all 14 of the bands that are playing the KROQ Weenie Roast on May 31st at the Verizon Amphitheater in L.A. It was harder than I thought for a little while and then all of a sudden, way easier. I may have messed up some melodies or lyrics or everything. I hope this doesn’t get you too excited, because I heard the concert is already sold out.

In case anyone asks, or cares, here’s the cheat sheet I made to get myself through.

In reverse order, those chords belong to Avicii, Beck, Foster the People, Fall Out Boy, The Neighbourhood, Bastille, Fitz & the Tantrums, Capital Cities, Phantogram, The 1975, American Authors, Kongos, Bleachers, and Cherub. I probably shold have done my hair.

#TBT – “Welcome to the Spank Bank” Live at Flappers 2012

I don’t remember doing this show. I don’t remember changing the lyrics to this. I don’t remember removing the crappy interlude section. I don’t remember this song ever getting this good of a reaction. Yet, there it was, on a file that sat on my Windows Desktop for two years. It’s not the best video, but it’s proof that this is not the worst song I ever wrote. (The two I played before it got lousy responses, so they’re worse.)

LAMPSHADE MAN: the movie

Look what I found on an old hard drive. Last time this was available on the internet, there was no YouTube (who I’m still mad at). “LAMPSHADE MAN: the movie” was my third-to-last student film at the University of Colorado.

A lot of people ask me, “How did you get that damaged film look?” My answer remains, “I shot it on film and then I damaged the film.” It was a hand-wound 16mm Bolex camera. It was hand edited too. I actually had to tape pieces of film together. I wish I could say that I had all these great ideas, but really, it was my film school teaching me extremely outdated techniques. (Love you, CU!)

A lot of people compliment me on the music. The music is awesome. It’s by The Gravitones, the best band from my hometown of Loveland, Colorado. My band, The Vanishing, was probably the 9th or 10th best. Maybe lower. We were pretty bad. Anyway, all the music comes from the Gravitones 2001ish album, “Echolalia,” which I can’t find anywhere on the internet, but I’ve got a copy.

Finally, a lot of people mention how muscular I looked when I played Lampshade Man. That’s not me. It’s Jeff Slutz. He was in The Vanishing too. He’s an accomplished music producer, whose stuff I also cannot find on the internet. I had no muscles in college.
